Location: Bilbao, Spain

We came into Bilbao, Spain, this morning. Since my sister lives in Barcelona, she took the day off and came to visit me on the ship. I gave her a tour of the ship, had caviar in my room and ate lunch. Afterwards we visited the touristy area of Bilbao.

The big name is the Guggenheim Museum. Seems it’s a big deal in the architecture circles – it doesn’t do anything for me. I think it’s cool that the skin of the building is made of titanium. And here’s my sister for proof.

The museum is closed on Mondays, but we knew that. The other big art piece that is outside is Puppy, but Jeff Koons. But, of course, it was all under scaffolding since they were changing the flowers. So here is a picture of a picture of the new Puppy.

We then walked around town, catching up and enjoying the sights. I like Bilbao – the area we saw was lovely. Coming back, I saw a fountain with some cool lighting.
