Safari, Day 2 Morning

Location: Sabi Sabi, South Africa

The morning game drive starts at 6:00am and lasts three hours. We saw a far bit.

Lilac Breasted Roller. I had a hard time getting focus thru the small branches.

Not Very Focused Roller

And finally, some Impala (which are some of my favorite safari animals).

Herd of Females (one very tired male behind them).

Animals we saw but that I did not get good pictures of:

Some thoughts:

We are using open sided Toyota Land Cruisers. I used closed Land Rovers in Kenya. Out guide said the Toyotas are easier to maintain and last longer than the Land Rovers. I’ll need more time in them behind I decide which I prefer.

Hopefully this wooden lion in the reception area is not the only lion I see.
