Silversea put the world-cruisers up at the Boca Raton hotel, about a 30-minute bus ride north of the Port Everglades cruise docks. The hotel had beautiful grounds and my room overlooked their marina. The night before we boarded we had a departure dinner.

The food was great, but for some reason the Waldorf Salad was extra good.

There was a rotation of music and dancers between the food courses. Here, a group of six violinist and two cellists performed.

We boarded starting at 11:00, which was painless. All my luggage arrived (yay!) and there were gifts.

I don’t know why Silversea feels the need to give us knick-knacks; maybe I can hand-me-down some as birthday gifts. I’ll add the magnet to bunch I carry to decorate my door. I’ll show the door soon.
One could assume that world travelers have dependents and neighbors and co-workers back at home who need presents from those-who-have-traveled… and Silver Seas is helping you fill you return baggage with stuff to give to those folks.
