The last night we were docked in Ho Chi Minh City we had a show in our theater. I recognized many of the entertainers from the evening before – same cheesy emcee (classical Vietnam top, silver chain and tennis shoes), etc. However, they brought more instruments and performers. I felt a little cheated from the original show, but tonight was fun.

Afterwards I got closer to the zither to see how it was played. Seems they use finger-clasping picks similar to how the Japanese Koto is played.
